- Initiated, assigned and executed content and design for The Republic's border news section.
- Maintained editorial schedule across several departments and coordinated efforts with other Gannett newspapers on collaborative projects.

- Worked as content producer for kgw.com, 2001 winner of the Edward R. Murrow Award for best TV-related news Web site in the Northwest.

- Functioned as an autonomous editor; responsible for selecting/editing wire stories and packaging content with appropriate images.
- Acted as principal test subject during all phases of development of the Work Bench publishing
application, serving as liaison between editorial and development staff. The software we developed
eventually became the publishing platform for the entire McClatchy newspaper chain.
